For many couples their wedding day will be the first time they are to be the main focus of the camera lens, and for some this can be a daunting prospect. With this is mind I have developed a style of photography that is both relaxed and unobtrusive allowing you and your guests to enjoy the day. This style is known as documentary or reportage photography, meaning I document what I see building a pictorial story of your day.
"What do you get?"
A typical full coverage wedding starts with the bride getting ready, “discretion is my middle name!” and continues through to the first dance. If you wish we can take a few group photos, done with the minimum of fuss as there is nothing worse than waiting around. You could also take some time away from the party for a few special photos. This also an opportinty for the two of you to have a bit of time alone.
Whilst you enjoy your meal, I can prepare a slide show of the images from earlier in the day. This is great for those guests who where not there and those that were.
I like to present the images with a touch of elegance and have sourced a selection of albums that have a stylish finish with excellent print and build quality. For me an album is still the best form of presentation as it is unaffected by technological advances and always there to provoke those memories. You will receive a beautiful slide show for PC, TV, Ipad ect.

It is important to me to offer a great service to my clients and for this reason each and every wedding receives my personal attention. This is not limited to the photography but includes the image processing and slide show design. Pre wedding meetings, ensure that I’m informed before the big day and If possible I will meet you at the venue. After the day I will arrange a viewing to present the final cut. I like to involve you every step of the way, as I feel this makes the album more personal.
Additional Services!
A pre wedding / engagement shoot is a great way for us to get to know each other. As this is essentially a lifestyle photo shoot it can take place wherever you wish. You can choose from a photo book, prints use them on the wedding invitations or as a giant poster on the day.
A new addition to my family of services is the video coverage. This is not full video coverage but a selection of short film clips of certain events throughout the day, edited into a muti-media slide show that mixes stills and movie to music or recorded sound. It is a beautiful and emotional journey through the day evoking fond memories.
"About me!"
For me photography is a passion as well as a job. Since turning professional I have found a specific joy in photographing weddings. Looking past the high pressure there is an honour in being entrusted with such an event and a joy and pride in delivering great results. I have gathered a great deal of experience photographing weddings over the years and joined the BIPP (British institute of professional photographers) to help me improve and develop new skills. I first saw Doug's literature at the Wedding Shop, we liked what we saw even more so when Doug
came round to show us his work. Our choice was to go for an album for us, 2 parents albums and
a CD of the photographs as well which includes a musical slideshow, all that plus Doug's website
access for guests to order their own prints.
All in all his work on the day was fantastic, I felt like I was in a super model photo shoot and not
many women can claim to have experienced that!. The photographs are fabulous and the albums
themselves are excellant quality. As I told Doug myself we'd recommend his work to anyone and
hopefully this reference will encourage more people to use Doug for their special day.

We found Douglas Anderson Photography very professional and friendly. He went through everything in detail with us and didn't mind me pestering him! I gave him a list of specific photos to take for the day in which he welcomed. I was very confident with Doug's service and new he would capture our very special day for us perfectly.
Our album was beautifully put together and Doug made sure I was happy with everything photo before I confirmed the final album.
